ST. PETERSBURG — Pinellas County Sheriff's deputies have identified and are looking for a suspect they said shot a man outside of a St. Petersburg strip club after an argument early Sunday morning.

Deputies have issued a warrant for Tony Thongdeng on charges of attempted second degree murder and felon in possession of a firearm. Thongdeng remains at-large, officials said.

Thongdeng is accused of shooting his victim, Tyler McNett, outside of the 4 Play Gentlemen's Lounge in unincorporated St. Petersburg, after the two had an argument at 2:14 a.m. Sunday outside the club. McNett sustained life-threatening injuries to his chest and left leg, deputies said, though he is in stable condition.

Officials said video surveillance outside the club showed the argument and Thongdeng producing a black revolver pointed at McNett. Thongdeng has an additional active warrant for his arrest for violation of career offender registration, officials said.

Deputies said Thongdeng is considered armed and dangerous, and is described as an Asian male who is 5-foot-7, weighs 175 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. Officials are asking anyone with information to call the Pinellas County Sheriff's office at (727) 582-6200.
