RIVERVIEW — Hillsborough Sheriff's deputies are looking for a man who robbed a Riverview credit union at gunpoint Friday morning.

Just after 9 a.m., a masked man walked into the Suncoast Credit Union at 13141 S U.S. Highway 301. He stepped to a counter, pointed a small handgun at a teller and demanded money, Hillsborough sheriff's officials said.

After receiving cash, the man ran out of the building and headed south through a parking lot, officials said.

Deputies described him as a black male, about 6 feet tall and 200 to 220 pounds with a medium build and a dark complexion. He wore a black zippered jacket, dark pants, a blue hat and blue latex gloves. He carried a black backpack with red trim.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at (813) 247-8200.
