HOLIDAY — Pasco County sheriff's deputies arrested a 14-year-old boy who they say beat up an 82-year-old man in his home early Friday and stole his wallet.

The teen walked up to the man, who was sitting on his front porch on Devonshire Drive in Holiday, about 2:15 a.m. and hit the man in the face several times, deputies said. He then pushed the man into the house through the front door and into the bedroom, where he continued to batter the man.

The teen stole the man's wallet and pants and ran away from the house, the Sheriff's Office said. He was apprehended Friday afternoon.

Authorities did not identify the man. The teen faces felony charges of robbery and battery on a person over 65 years old, the Sheriff's Office said.
