CLEARWATER — A 20-year-old Dunedin man accused of stealing a car at gunpoint was arrested Thursday evening.

Arthur Lee Collins, 950 Beltrees St. Apt. A, approached a man's car, which was stopped on the 1500 block of S. Martin Luther King Avenue on Saturday night, according to police.

Collins walked up to the driver's side of the red 2002 Dodge Stratus and opened the door. He told the driver he had a gun and then pulled him from the car, police said.

Collins drove east on Woodlawn Street at a high rate of speed, police said. The vehicle was later found in the parking lot behind 1399 N Missouri Ave.

Police found fingerprints from the inside of the vehicle and identified Collins. The victim picked him out of a photo lineup.
