BROOKSVILLE— A Hernando County man faces child pornography charges after a joint investigation by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Tampa Bay Regional Operations Center Cyber and High Tech Squad, the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, the Lakeland Police Department and the Hernando County Sheriff's Office.
John Paul Stanton, 31, was arrested without incident Monday after a search warrant was executed at his residence on Spring Lake Highway, east of Brooksville. During the search, agents located video and photographic images of child pornography inside Stanton's home.
Stanton was charged with 10 counts of promoting sexual performance by a child and one count of possession of child pornography. He was booked into the Hernando County Jail, where he remained Tuesday in lieu of $52,500 bail.
