RIVERVIEW — A 30-year-old man was arrested Tuesday on charges he forced a woman into prostitution, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
Brandon Jackson is facing charges of human sex trafficking and false imprisonment, being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of marijuana and domestic violence battery.
Deputies arrived at the La Quinta Inn on U.S. 301 N on Tuesday afternoon where they say a 32-year-old woman was being held by Jackson against her will.
Deputies found Jackson locked in a bathroom, holding a .380-caliber semi-automatic pistol close, according to the Sheriff's Office. While searching the hotel room, deputies found 190 grams of marijuana, according to the Sheriff's Office. Jackson has been charged with human sex trafficking and false imprisonment, in addition to three other crimes.
