CLEARWATER — A shooting during a memorial gathering Saturday night killed a 27-year-old man, police said.Just before midnight, Markeen Prim of Clearwater was at an event with about 500 people at a home near the intersection of Howard Street and Tioga Avenue to remember Rajshah Ramon Williams, who died at the age of 20 in an ATV accident in 2007, Clearwater police spokesman Rob Shaw said.For unknown reasons, gunshots went off outside the house and hit Prim, who was standing in Howard Street. He was taken to Morton Plant Hospital and died minutes later, Shaw said.Florida Department of Law Enforcement records show a lengthy criminal history for Prim, with 30 arrests by several Tampa Bay law enforcement agencies since 2005. The charges range from cocaine distribution to armed robbery, with the most recent in February 2015 for drug possession and resisting an officer.Homicide detectives have asked that any witnesses of the shooting contact the Clearwater Police Department at (727) 562-4242 or tips@myclearwater.com.
