TARPON SPRINGS — A Tampa police officer crashed into two pedestrians early Friday as they walked on the road, according to Florida Highway Patrol reports.

Off-duty Officer Bryan Felts, 44, was driving home at 4:43 a.m. on Keystone Road near the Hillsborough County line when he spotted twin brothers Daniel and Donald Daimwood walking west on the dark road.

He swerved, but the patrol car's right-side mirror struck them. The Daimwoods were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
