DADE CITY — A shooting that sent two men to the hospital Friday has been upgraded to a homicide after one of the victims died from his injuries, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said the shooting happened just before 6 p.m. at the intersection of Johnson Street and Dixie Drive, where deputies found suspect Antonnie Lee Kennedy, 35, of Dade City. He was arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm and is still under investigation for the incident, the Sheriff's Office said.
Victims Demetrius Lott, 27, and Daryll Collins, 44, both of Dade City, were found at the scene with gunshot wounds and transported to local hospitals. Lott died of his injuries Friday night, and Collins was in critical condition as of early Saturday morning, deputies said.
