TRINITY — A 25-year-old Wesley Chapel woman was arrested early Friday morning on a charge of lewd and lascivious battery on a victim between the ages of 12 and 15. But the Pasco County Sheriff's Office said there's a lot more to the story. The woman, Trisha Baia, posted an ad — complete with erotic photographs of herself — on Backpage.com offering to engage in sexual acts in exchange for cash, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Then she was contacted by a 15-year-old boy.

The boy called her and arranged for her to drive to his home in Trinity and engage in intercourse in exchange for $150, according to an arrest report. He texted his address to Baia and she arrived at his gated community on May 26 at 1:30 a.m., the report said.

The boy opened the gate so she could drive in, according to the report, and told her "they had to be quiet because his parents were asleep upstairs."

Baia and the boy had originally agreed on $150, according to the report, but he said he could only pay her $80. Deputies said she took his money, they engaged in intercourse and she left.

The report doesn't say how the boy's parents found out or when they called deputies. His mother consented to having her son undergo a physical examination, which the report said "was positive for sexual abuse." The boy's identity was withheld by the Sheriff's Office.

Deputies also got permission to examine the boy's phone and confirmed the phone calls and text messages. They also obtained surveillance video from a neighbor that showed a car driving up to the boy's house with Baia and the boy both inside.

But deputies said they could not find Baia despite several leads. So undercover deputies used the boy's phone to contact her. Deputies said she told them the boy told her he was 19.

Baia also faces a misdemeanor charge from the incident. She was being held in the Pasco County jail in lieu of $5,150 bail.
