LARGO — Pinellas deputies are looking for a man they say fled after robbing a convenience store Thursday.

They say the man, described as a white male who is about 6 feet tall and 240 pounds, entered the store, a Circle K with a Shell gas station at 13396 Seminole Blvd, just before midnight. He demanded the clerk open the cash register, then took an undisclosed amount of merchandise and cash, the Sheriff's Office said.

He was last seen driving a silver four-door BMW sedan, thought to be made between the years of 2000 and 2010, with a Florida tag possibly beginning with 391 or 397, deputies said. He was last seen wearing a dark blue T-shirt, baggy shorts, white ankle socks and white tennis shoes.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact Detective Moffett at 727-582-6200. Those who want to remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward should contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS or visit
