Man pollutes pool after eviction, deputies say

On June 23, Thomas Mason walked into the Embassy Mobile Home Park at 16416 U.S. 19 N with a 5-gallon bucket, an arrest report says.

Mason, 54, is accused of pouring the contents of the container, described as an "unknown dark-colored substance," into the pool.

"Thomas is angry over his eviction from the park and is suspect in several criminal mischief events in the last week there," a deputy wrote in a report.

He was jailed on a charge of criminal mischief.

Officers say man 'forgot' marijuana was under his hat

Officers initially responded to a beer and wine store at 1440 49th St. S to arrest Daniel Elam for trespassing. They found him sitting outside in a lawn chair, according to arrest reports.

Police soon figured out that Elam, 42, was hiding .05 of an ounce of marijuana under the straw hat he was wearing, a report says.

"Oh, I forgot I had weed there," Elam told officers.

He was jailed on charges of trespassing and marijuana possession.
