ST. PETERSBURG — For the third time in as many months, a convenience store on Roy Hanna Drive S was robbed at gunpoint Monday, police said.

The Sunshine Foods Store was previously held up on Nov. 18 and Dec. 22. According to St. Petersburg police, about 8:20 p.m. Monday, a man with a handgun walked inside and stole cash from the register. Surveillance footage shows him pointing the gun at a clerk and quickly walking out of the store.

Police said the man is about 6-feet-2, black, with dreadlocks that partially obscured his face. He wore black tennis shoes with silver reflectors and had a pigeon-toed walk.

Detectives are investigating all three robberies at the convenience store, located at 2210 Roy Hanna Drive S. The previous incidents involved a "similarly described suspect," according to police.

Investigators ask anyone with information to call (727) 893-7780 or text an anonymous tip along with the letters "SPPD" to 847411.
