Man sought in robbery of Tampa pharmacy
The Tampa Police Department is searching for a man who robbed a pharmacy of prescription drugs at gunpoint Friday morning.
The robbery was captured by a security camera inside Express Special Pharmacy, 4111 Henderson Blvd. The man walked into the pharmacy about 9:45 a.m. and drew a firearm as he approached an employee behind the counter, demanding prescription drugs, police said.
A struggle broke out between the two, but the employee eventually cooperated with the man and turned over the prescriptions, police said.
Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information that leads to the man's arrest. Police described him as between 35 and 45 years old, about 6 feet tall with a medium build and short black hair with a receding hairline. During the robbery the man wore prescription glasses, black pants, a black mask, and a white tank top under a black hoodie.
