TAMPA – A 15-year-old was arrested Friday at Dowdell Middle Magnet School after he sliced another student on the thigh with a pocket knife, deputies said.
The boy started arguing with several girls in the school cafeteria around noon, authorities said. During the argument, he pulled out a pocket knife and ran the blade across one of the girls' thighs.
Authorities took the girl to the hospital for a minor laceration and the boy to the Hillsborough County Juvenile Assessment Center.
He faces the following charges: aggravated battery with a weapon, possession of a weapon on school grounds and carrying a concealed weapon.
