Three men remain hospitalized after Tampa shooting

TAMPA — Three men remained hospitalized Monday after they were injured in a shooting Sunday night.

The shooting erupted during a block party at the intersection of N 17th Street and E 24th Avenue when a fight broke out, Tampa police said.

Four men were injured and hospitalized. Kenneth Royal, 22, was treated and released. The other victims, Terrico C. Newson, 21; Joe Fussell, 23; and Jeremiah Hobbs, 17, remained in critical but stable condition.

The men have not been cooperative with detectives, police said. The shooting did not appear to be random and there was no description of the gunman Monday.
