Well, it is almost Valentine's Day … St. Petersburg police look for theft ring targeting Victoria's Secret (w/video)

Published Feb. 13, 2015

ST. PETERSBURG — The thieves are organized and have made off with thousands of dollars of merchandise.

Surveillance cameras have recorded the heist. Some act as lookouts and provide a distraction while another person makes the grab.

Their target? Victoria's Secret. Call them the lingerie looters.

St. Petersburg police believe they've stolen at least $7,500 worth of "women's undergarments."

Investigators believe the ring hit the popular retailer's location in Tyrone Square Mall three times in January. They may be connected to a larger group targeting stores and malls around the Sunshine State.

Police ask anyone with information to call (727) 893‑7780 or send "SPPD" and an anonymous tip to 847-411.
