DADE CITY — Pasco sheriff's detectives have identified the body found Saturday along an isolated highway northwest of the city as Naomi Jean Robbins, 36.
Detectives are trying to determine how Robbins' body ended up along Ruffing Road near the Ramsey Road intersection. The highways run through an isolated, rural part of Dade City.
A call came in about the body about 11:30 a.m., the sheriff's office said.
Detectives are treating Robbins' death as "suspicious," although they said no obvious signs of trauma appeared on the body. An autopsy by the medical examiner is pending.
The woman's next-of-kin have been notified.
Robbins' last known address is 14911 Blanton St., Dade City. That's about a mile east of where her body was found.
Detectives are asking the public's assistance in establishing Robbins' whereabouts 24 hours before her body was found.
