Deputies: Publix shopper accidentally shoots himself while inside Land O' Lakes store

A shopper at the Land O' Lakes Publix at 2121 Collier Parkway accidentally shot himself with his weapon while inside the store on Sunday.

According to the Pasco Sheriff's Office, the victim — identified only as a white male — was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries to his lower extremity.

The sheriff's office said that there is no active threat to the public.
