Fatal crash closes I-4 exit ramp in Tampa at Columbus Drive

TAMPA — A fatal car crash on Columbus Drive at Interstate 4 forced authorities to close an eastbound exit ramp for several hours, police said.

Officers did not identify the person killed in the crash. They also did not say how many vehicles were involved.

Traffic on I-4 was not affected, police said. In addition to the exit ramp, Columbus Drive was closed westbound at 50th Street.
