Boat catches fire near Anclote Key

TARPON SPRINGS — A 20-foot boat caught fire Wednesday afternoon near Anclote Key, an island located west of Tarpon Springs and Holiday.

Flames and smoke were visible, said Tarpon Springs Deputy Fire Chief Donald Sayre. At some point, two men and a dog were aboard.

No one was injured, Sayre said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
