A fire in Dade City Wednesday night destroyed a mobile home and displaced a family of seven, county spokesman Doug Tobin said.
The blaze at 19118 U.S. Highway 301 drew 18 firefighters from three stations, according to Tobin. They responded about 8:14 p.m. as flames engulfed the front of the mobile home. Crews were able to quickly knock the fire down, Tobin said, but the home was a total loss.
Two adults and five children between the ages of 3 and 13 were left homeless. No one was injured, Tobin said, and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
