Fire Rescue extinguishes boat fire at Tampa harbor

TAMPA — Authorities are investigating what caused a 30-foot boat to catch fire Sunday at the Florida Marina Club Tampa Harbour in South Tampa.

Tampa Fire Rescue responded to the marina after a report of a fire there at about 9:30 a.m. The cabin cruiser was docked at the harbour at 5200 W. Tyson Ave. when the fire started.

Firefighters had the blaze under control at 9:43 a.m. The vessel appears to be a total loss, authorities said.

No firefighters or civilians were injured.
