TAMPA — Two construction trailers caught fire in south Tampa near the intersection of Fair Oaks Avenue and West Shore Boulevard on Thursday night.

Firefighters responded to a vacant lot west of the intersection at 7:20 p.m. and extinguished the blaze by 7:45 p.m. There were no injuries.

Three trailers were parked next to each other inside a locked, gated area near West Shore Boulevard. The fire started in the trailer farthest from the street, spread to the trailer next to it, but did not reach the third, officials said.

The Fire Marshal is investigating and deemed the cause of the fire "suspicious." Officials said vagrants are known to frequent the area.
