SEMINOLE – Flames ripped through a home on Antilles Drive, injuring two men and killing three dogs Thursday morning, deputies said.

Crews responded to the blaze at 9511 Antilles Drive at 6:52 a.m., according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.

Rocco Cappo, 65, and Dwight Douglas, 51, had been inside when the home started to fill with smoke, deputies said. Both men were suffering from smoke inhalation when firefighters arrived on scene. Cappo was taken to the hospital and Douglas was treated at the scene.

A pit bull, a bullmastiff and a black Labrador retriever were killed in the fire, which authorities said extensively damaged the house.
