LARGO — More than two dozen firefighters extinguished a blaze that heavily damaged a mobile home Thursday afternoon, Largo Fire Rescue said.

Firefighters from Largo and Seminole were called to 9925 Ulmerton Road about 12:30 p.m. and discovered heavy smoke and flames. It took them 22 minutes to extinguish the blaze.

Two people fled from the mobile home and one of them was hospitalized for smoke inhalation, fire rescue officials said.

The cause remained under investigation Thursday.
