Four posing as cops force way into Citrus Park home, tie-up residents, deputies say

TAMPA — Four people posing as law enforcement officers entered a Citrus Park area home, tied up the occupants, fired a gunshot and escaped with stolen items, deputies said.

No one was injured, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

The robbers forced their way into the home on the 10000 block of Tabor Drive at about 3 a.m. Thursday and once inside, bound the hands of three adults living there. The robbers then removed property from the master bedroom, deputies said.

One of the robbers fired a round from a handgun. The four fled in a grey sedan.

The home invasion was recorded on a surveillance video system inside the home. Deputies are reviewing the video footage and distributed it to the public to help identify the suspects.

The video shows three of them, all males. The fourth suspect does not appear in the video.

One suspect is described as between 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 tall, with an average build, last seen wearing a maroon Adidas hoodie, a mask, sweat pants and running shoes.

Another male was described as 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-10 tall, with a potbelly, last seen wearing sweatpants and running shoes, a long-sleeve shirt and another long-sleeve shirt covering his face.

A third suspect was about 5-foot-10 to 6 foot with a large build, last seen wearing sweatpants and white sneakers and a zip-up hoodie with his face covered.
