St. Petersburg man found fatally shot in car left running

ST. PETERSBURG — A 29-year-old man was found fatally shot inside his car Monday night, according to police.

Officers were dispatched at about 9:15 p.m. when a resident reported hearing a crash and seeing a driver slumped over in a grey sedan in the 100 block of 38th Street N.

When they arrived, officers found a man — later identified as Derrick L. Williams — who had been shot. The car was still running.
