A body found floating in a Zephyrhills pond on Tuesday afternoon may be the victim of foul play, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.

The man was found in a pond in the woods behind the Home Depot at 32715 Eiland Boulevard, near where State Road 54 intersects with Morris Bridge Road. Deputies received a call about the body at about 4:30 p.m.

The pond is located near a homeless camp, deputies say. The death remains under investigation, the agency said Wednesday, reiterating that foul play is suspected in this case.

The Sheriff's Office released no other details about the incident, including whether the man has been identified.
