HOLIDAY — A father and son were injured in a Tuesday night drive-by shooting when someone fired several rounds into a home, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.

The father, 37, was shot in the back, deputies said. His 11-year-old son received a foot injury during the incident, but deputies didn't know whether it was from gunfire. Both were expected to live.

The shooting happened on the 1900 block of Rally Lane in Holiday at about 9 p.m. while the victims were inside a home there. A two-door car fled the scene immediately after the gunshots, deputies said, and investigators want to talk to anyone who can identify the vehicle or its owner.

Deputies don't know if there was more than one shooter, and they did not release the names of the victims.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at (800) 706-2488.
