A woman died from her injuries after being hit by a pickup truck Tuesday night in Seminole.

Ann Marie Musolf, 50, whose address was listed as transient, was killed in the collision around 9:30 p.m. on Seminole Boulevard, just north of 66th Avenue North, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies gave this account:

Ronald Lake, 71, was driving north in the curb lane of Seminole Boulevard in a 2003 Toyota Tundra. As Lake passed through a green traffic signal at 66th Avenue North, a woman walking along the sidewalk on the east side of the road stepped in front of his truck.

Lake was unable to avoid striking the woman, deputies said. Paramedics responded and pronounced her dead at the scene.

The woman was not in a designated crosswalk at the time of the crash, deputies said. Speed was not a factor.

Deputies said that before the crash, they learned the woman had been drinking alcohol with her boyfriend behind a business at 6595 Seminole Blvd.

Lake showed no signs of impairment and provided two voluntary blood samples.
