Plant City man killed in early-morning motorcycle crash

BRANDON — A Plant City man died Tuesday morning when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a Toyota Camry on State Road 60.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Aaron Heath, 33, was traveling westbound on State Road 60 in the right turn lane about 3:15 a.m. Ejgu Chanie Marye, 46, of Riverview, who was driving the Camry, was northbound on U.S. 301 north of SR 60.

When the motorcycle attempted to turn, it struck the raised center median and overturned, according to FHP, and ended up in the path of the Camry. A passenger on the motorcycle — 18-year-old Marissa Anne Hale — did not suffer any serious injuries. Marye was also not seriously injured.

Heath died after he was transported to Tampa General Hospital, FHP said.
