SEFFNER — A man was killed when he was hit by multiple cars while walking along State Road 574 Friday evening, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Manuel Raposo, 44, of Seffner, was walking in the left turn lane of SR 574 east of Taylor Road around 6:38 p.m. when, for an unknown reason, he darted into the path of a car, troopers said. The passenger side mirror of the Volkswagen hit Raposo, who fell to the ground. Two other vehicles then struck Raposo.
Raposo was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries.
