TAMPA — One night in September, police said 18-year-old Tesean Blue was gunned down as he road his bike in north Tampa.

Now another 18-year-old has been charged in his death.

Misael Mora faces a charge of second-degree murder, Tampa police announced on Tuesday. Police say the teens knew each other but did not disclose what led to the shooting.

Mora was already being held in the Hillsborough County jail after being arrested on Dec. 4 on charges of violating parole, records show. He pleaded guilty in 2017 to aggravated battery of a person 65 years or older and robbery and was sentenced to four years of community supervision, state records show.

Tampa police found Blue while responding to a call about gunshots in the area of North Brooks and East Annie Streets at about 8:35 p.m. on Sept. 3. He'd been shot; police haven't said how many times or where. He later died at Tampa General Hospital.

According to police, Mora lived on the 1200 block of E Annie Street, just west of the scene of the shooting.

Blue lived with his mother Tara Jones in an apartment in Carrollwood. Jones told the Tampa Bay Times in September that they moved from Decatur, Ala. so Blue would have a better life here.
