Religion calendar

National Day of Prayer: The City of Tampa will celebrate the National Day of Prayer at 7 tonight at George M. Steinbrenner Field. Join pastors and leaders from throughout Tampa Bay in prayer at this event. Christian evangelist and missionary Reinhard Bonnke is the featured guest speaker. Admission and parking are free. The Franciscan Center, 3010 N Perry Ave., will offer a mothers and daughters day retreat from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Cost is $20 and includes lunch. Also, an evening retreat, As a Tree by Streams of Water, inspired by the short story The Man Who Planted Trees, will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Cost is $20. Love2Laugh comedy tour: The Love2Laugh Mother's Day tour, featuring family friendly comedians Rod Z, Steffon Vann and Crystal P., will be held at the College Hill Conference Center at 4 p.m. May 12.
