ST. PETERSBURG — A single-engine private plane made a hard landing at Albert Whitted Airport on Wednesday when its landing gear broke in mid-landing, according to St. Petersburg Fire Rescue.

The incident was reported at 4:15 p.m. The private plane had two people aboard. Neither was injured.

Authorities don't know if the landing gear first broke on takeoff or if it broke on landing.
