ST. PETERSBURG — The “suspicious death” of a man found on his apartment floor Thursday is now being investigated as a homicide, police said.
Neighbors found Tyler Clingman, 28, dead at 325 15th Ave. NE in St. Petersburg’s Historic Old Northeast neighborhood after noticing his door was cracked open, according to St. Petersburg police.
The medical examiner classified his death as a homicide after determining that he did not die from natural causes or suicide, said St. Petersburg police spokeswoman Yolanda Fernandez.
However, she did not disclose how he died.
“They are actively investigating and talking to witness and viewing video in the area,” Fernandez said.
Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact the St. Petersburg Police Department at (727) 893-7780.
