Boy, 11, killed, three hurt in crash on 34th Street S in St. Pete

ST. PETERSBURG — An 11-year-old boy was killed three others were injured when a car headed south on 34th Street S collided with a northbound car turning left in front of it, St. Petersburg police said.

Stephen Johnson was killed in the collision at 7:55 p.m. Saturday at the intersection with 15th Avenue S, police said.

The boy was riding in a 2006 Honda sedan when it collided with a 2006 Chrysler sedan that was turning left onto 15th Avenue S, police said.

Johnson, two adults and another child were taken to hospitals after the crash. The others were listed in stable condition early Sunday.
