Man wounded in St. Petersburg shooting

ST. PETERSBURG — One man was wounded in a Tuesday shooting that also damaged two vehicles near the 900 block 13th Avenue S, police said.

The St. Petersburg Police Department said the shooting took place about 5 p.m. but did not say if an arrest was made. The injured man, whose name wasn’t released by police, did not suffer life-threatening injuries.

Police did not release any other details about the shooting.

Tuesday’s incident was the latest shooting in the city and comes soon after fatal shootings over the weekend.

An argument in the parking lot of a grocery store on 18th Avenue S early Saturday morning led to 26-year-old Deauntazies Ramsey being fatally shot, police said.

A day later, a mother of two was shot to death when gunfire erupted in a crowd outside a salon on 16th Street S. Police said they believe the woman was an innocent bystander.
