An 84-year-old woman died Sunday afternoon after crashing her car into another vehicle with a group of five teenagers, who fled the scene, according to the St. Petersburg Police Department.
Mary E. Rohan died at the scene of the crash, near 30th Avenue South and 34th Street South, according to the police department.
Just past 2:30 p.m., Rohan was traveling west on 30th Avenue and turning left onto 34th Street when it went into the path of the teenager’s car, which was headed north on 34th Street.
All of the teenagers in the car who fled the scene were identified by police, but the department is asking anyone with information to come forward and call the department at 727-893-7780.
An investigation is ongoing.
