Police plan to charge man, 29, in shooting deaths at St. Petersburg home

Officers responding to a 911 call Thursday found the bodies of a man and a woman, 21 and 18, in what they described as a domestic-related shooting.

ST. PETERSBURG — Police describe as “domestic related” the fatal shooting of a man and a woman Thursday at a St. Petersburg home.

The suspect is James Pagan, 29, of St. Petersburg, who is in custody on unrelated charges in Alachua County, police said in a news release. Detectives were preparing to file charges against Pagan in the shooting deaths of Barbarajean Lombardi, 18, and Tommy Dixon, 21.

Police responding to a 911 call at 11:08 p.m. Thursday found the bodies at a rental home in the 1700 block of Granville Court South in the Bartlett Park neighborhood.

Pagan was known to at least one of the victims, police said. He fled the shooting scene headed north and was arrested a few hours later in Alachua County, police said.
