Boy shot and killed at St. Petersburg home, police say

Police responded to a call about a 15-year-old being shot on Saturday afternoon.

ST. PETERSBURG — A 15-year old boy was fatally shot in the Childs Park neighborhood on Saturday afternoon, according to a police department release.

The teenager, who has been identified as Trill Tewan Wright, was shot inside a residence in the 4200 block of 12th Avenue S.

Police were called to the scene at 4:34 p.m. on Saturday.

Wright had been visiting a friend’s home, police said.

The case is still under investigation.
