Hanukkah events bring people together in St. Petersburg, Clearwater

People gathered for the first of the Jewish holiday’s eight days of celebration.

The Chabad Jewish Center of Greater St. Petersburg hosted Hanukkah in the City at South Straub Park on Thursday with a menorah lighting, dancing and aerial performances. Candlelight twinkled among those gathered as people joined in song.

In Clearwater’s Coachman Park, the Chabad of Clearwater lit a 7-foot menorah during their Unite Through Light Hanukkah celebration.
