TAMPA — Laurie Marie Pietscher was found dead on Oct. 19. The 28-year-old Sebring woman had been strangled and left behind a business at 3712 N 15th St. Her vehicle was missing.

Investigators said they identified a suspect and spent months building a case. On Tuesday, they arrested him.

Gary Tyrone Danielle, 48, faces charges of first-degree murder, tampering with physical evidence and grand theft of a motor vehicle.

Danielle and Pietscher had known each other, police said. Investigators did not release any other details about the case, including what led to the alleged murder or where it took place.

A grand jury indicted Danielle and a warrant was issued for his arrest. He was taken into custody in Tampa at about 9:30 a.m.
