Tampa police have released video of looting that occurred at a CVS during protests on May 30.
A manager and employee were inside the CVS at 30th Street and E. Fowler Avenue that night. They had closed the business and lowered a shutter at the door, but people were able to roll up the shutter and break into the business.
The manager and employee safely exited the business. The video that Tampa police released includes the 911 call from the manager who is reporting the incident.
“The group in this video hijacked a peaceful protest and used it as an opportunity to commit acts of vandalism, theft and destruction of property,” Tampa police said in a news release.
Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact Crimestoppers of Tampa Bay at 1-800-873-TIPS.
