Groups exchange gunfire at Tampa strip club

TAMPA — Two groups of people exchanged gunfire at a strip club early Monday, police said.

The groups began shooting at each other at Scores Gentlemen’s Club, 2310 N Dale Mabry Highway, about 3 a.m. as people were leaving the club, according to Tampa police.

The shooters fled in vehicles and continued to exchange gunfire. A Wal-Mart employee sitting in front of the store at 1505 N Dale Mabry was struck by a stray round. The round did not penetrate the man’s skin but left a bruise, police said.

Investigators believe the two groups targeted each other.

No other details were immediately released.
