TAMPA — The westbound lanes of W Estrella Street may be closed for the next few days as crews fix a depression in the damaged road caused Saturday by a crash.

A collision between a Jeep Cherokee SUV and a Maserati at the intersection of E Henderson Avenue and W Estrella Street caused a fire hydrant to break, according to the Tampa Police Department.

A large amount of water was released that caused a depression to form in the road.

No other details about the crash were released. The repairs to W Estrella Street should take a few days, officials said. Police ask drivers to avoid the area if possible in the coming days.
