TAMPA — If you haven’t gotten vaccinated yet and you’ve always wanted to take your photo with the Vince Lombardi Trophy, that day has arrived:
Hillsborough County is holding a vaccination clinic at Mt. Olive AME Church on Wednesday where anyone ages 12 and up can receive the Pfizer vaccine and take their photo with the Lombardi Trophy, now the property of the Super Bowl 55 champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church at 1902 W. La Salle St. The parents or guardians of those ages 12 to 17 must be present to approve the vaccinations. Those who receive the Pfizer vaccine must return for a second dose in three to four weeks to receive full protection from the virus.
Remember that all coronavirus vaccines are free to all, regardless of whether they have health insurance. The coronavirus vaccines were created using established mRNA technology. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s data show people rarely suffer severe or life-threatening reactions to vaccines.
The Pfizer vaccine is more than 90 percent effective against COVID-19. An Associated Press report also found that the unvaccinated make up nearly all U.S. coronavirus deaths.
