Hillsborough County is adding a free shuttle on July 4 to provide transportation to Tampa’s Boom by the Bay celebration.

The shuttle will run every 15 minutes from the Marion Transit Center from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m, the county transit authority announced Monday. The north shuttle route will go to Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park and the Straz Center for the Performing Arts, giving easy access to festivities at Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park. The south shuttle route will go to Whiting Station, where eventgoers can take the fare-free TECO Line streetcar to the Tampa Convention Center and Sparkman Wharf.

Several bus routes include stops at the Marion Transit Center, allowing access to the free shuttles.

Boom by the Bay festivities are happening July 4 at a variety of locations along Tampa’s waterfront, including Curtis Hixon Park, Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park, Sparkman Wharf and the Tampa Convention Center. They include live music, food, drinks, a boat parade and fireworks.
