An adult male died Tuesday after a crash near the intersection of N 40th Street and E Fern Street, the Tampa Police Department said.
The man was driving a blue Chevrolet Silverado and traveling north on 40th Street approaching Fern Street. At that point, the driver hit the median, and the car flipped over and into traffic moving in the opposing direction.
A driver in a white GMC Sierra collided head-on with the Silverado. Both drivers were taken to the hospital. The driver of the Silverado died as a result of his injuries while the driver of the Sierra did not suffer life-threatening injuries, a police report said.
The crash remains under investigation. No other information was released, including the identities of the drivers.
